Job Overview

The Inside Sales Representative/Engineer primary responsibilities include responding to customer Request for Quotation (RFQ), assisting in the development of asset/outage management planning and coordinating with internal stakeholders to provide world-class customer service to IMI CE’s customers.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to develop incremental business growth
  • Regularly communicate with customers to set expectations around timing and pricing of products and delivery
  • Generate quotes and revise as needed for assigned territory
  • Enter orders in ERP and revise as needed for assigned territory
  • Review valve drawings, bills of materials, and other customer technical and commercial specifications to prepare and complete proposal
  • Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders for a clean order handoff and efficient product delivery
  • Develop and propose efficient Prevent Maintenance Plans (PMPs) to support customers with ongoing maintenance and outage preparation
  • Check and negotiate the delivery schedule with operation and feeder factory
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales counterparts to develop winning strategies and execute company-wide expectations around pricing
  • Direct follow up with customer on quote submittals to drive orders to close
  • Develop and support internally led campaigns to execute company growth strategies

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in Sales is preferred, preferably in Technical Sales
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Flow control industry; valves, power, oil & gas experience is preferred
  • Passionate about providing value-added service to our customers and striving to exceed their expectations
  • Adaptability to work on a variety of assignments and projects and adjust plans depending on changing priorities
  • Team player attitude with a strong desire to contribute to the larger business growth goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in English
  • Experience with using an ERP is preferred
  • Experience with using Salesforces is preferred
